Hi All,
John Kearney living at 1 Athol Street Bootle Liverpool. He was there in 1912 as I have a death cert for his son James Joseph
There is a Michael Kearney (my granddad) with his family living with the Boyles at 3 Athol street.
I know Kearney is a common Irish name but I am wondering if there is a connection between these two men.
Any info will be greatly received.
Thankyou,
Ann

Ann.....

Is this your g.father's marriage....

21.11.1909 - St Albans RC Liverpool. Michael Kearney - 23 - Bachelor - Dock Labourer of 10 Walmsley Street -
Father - Peter Kearney - Labourer
to Bridget Boyle - 21 Spinster - Soap Packer of 3 Athol Street -
Father Edward Boyle - Labourer:
Witnesses - Thomas McHale and Mary Boyle - By Certificate

If so then a cross check with Peter Kearney and Honor.McHales (Co.Mayo)family would show if John was ? a brother

Hi,
Sorry all, just back from lunch.
Flick, my cousin purchased it with very little research before.
It seems as if Athol St. Is the centre for Kearneys.

According to census 1881 John Kearney and family had single sister in law Margaret McVey born Ireland living with them, so presumably the parents of John Kearney c1873 were John Kearney Sr, and Alice McVey, probably married in Ireland.

The only Irish location we have is for Alice in 1911 as born Down Patrick Ireland.
