As there were no penalties until 1875 for NOT registering births, you may find that hers just wasn't recorded.

Your best hope is a baptism record

Flick

did you notice that I had found the confirmation record ................. on the Catholic records in Liverpool

she was confirmed in 1867, roughly 12 years after her birth.

I could find no baptism record on ancestry or familysearch

Hi Sylvia

Yes, I noticed the Confirmation info which you had found..............was there a simlar record for the boy James who is on 1871?

Might it be worth looking in the baptisms for just 'Emily' with mother Margaret?

My Ancestry sub doesn't stretch to those records, or I'd try it myself

I guess I'm clutching at the thinnest of straws!
