Where did you get your information about the other people in the same grave? Was it from a web site?

I am just wondering if your ancestors grave was a Common Grave.

My Gt Granparents are in Common Graves and they are with other people unrelated to them.

Have you been to see the grave and confirmed with a Grave Digger to see if it's Private or Common Grave?

Thanks Choccy - I think in my excitement to find Alice I made 2 plus 2 and got 8! I wonder where she went - the 1891 you found could be her. Similar age and 'right' part of the town where family lived.

Now, a sister of Alfred Robinson (1878-1959), and a distant aunt of mine, is Alice Robinson b. 1871 in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. I have never been able to find anything on her after 1881. So, could Alice McCann be here? This could be a previous marriage, could it not?

Also, the 1898 marriage in Middlesbrough seems to be next to a Hogg marriage, who could be a cousin of Alice Robinson. Her mother's maiden name was Hogg.
