I cant see Sarah Ann's aunt Elizabeth in the 1881 as she would have been married & I havent yet found her married name. ( presume at 14 its her Aunt & not her mum)?

I have 1861 Sarah Ann Bennet aged 2 with grandparents and Flick has her aged 3 in 1961 with her parents and sibling.

The only Fact that I haveis the 1881 census.........its THIS Sarah that I am trying to trace in earlier census - in order to find her family & siblings etc:

You must bear in mind that, until 1875, failure to register births was not penalised.....so Sarah's birth may NOT have been registered.

IF she knew her father, his name and occupation will be on her marriage cert

ok - thats great - I didnt know that a birth didnt have to be registered......

The marriage cert may be the only way forward then. I had though that if she had a member of her family staying in one of the census (or visa versa)
and I found an earlier census with her name & theirs on it - I could confirm her family without having to buy another cert.
