had another look at the enumerators list for both Mrs Prior and her son next door it says 26 as a street number (the schedules were 136 and 137) |

Can someone who looked them up on 1911 census tell me if it was Warwick house near dunmow - I just googled it and see there was indeed a very grand house there in those days which burned down and is now a garden open to the public called the gardens at easton lodge, I don't think they could have really lived there though it looks far too grand ! |

I did wonder if a patient had left her money - some of her sons went to Canada and one died in a lift accident but I doubt there was any compensation in 1865 - the inquest found no one at fault . Seems a shame to have all that money at the end of her life her family needed it 30 years earlier! Typical! |

The 1881 shows her as being a former nurse. Maybe she was left the money by a patient! |

Warwick Road and Dunmow Road are right next to each other so this seems as if it could be the right person. |
