Find Ancestors

Hi,
I am having no luck finding any children for this couple please could someone see if they could find anything

Mark Royston and Lilian (Grayson) married in 1928 in Leicester

Ihave tried freeBMD and also Ancestry but not coming up with anything! I suppose there is a possibility that they had no children but want to make sure before i write them off!!!

no actually other way round i guess!! Lilian was born Kempin and married Grayson before becoming Royston!!

Uunless you have proof to the contrary, never assume that the name under which a woman marries is her maiden name.........

just to throw a spanner in the works there is this birth for a Lilian Grayson!!

No, Unfortunatly not, its the ROYSTON side that I am tarcing so was only really trying to find if they had children or not!

Its the marriage cert for Mark and Lilian you will need Julia, that should give her fathers name and occ.

this looks like the other Lilian in 1911 --but I think Flick has got it right with Lilian A

Yes of course you are right its the marriage cert I need!

Just out of interest why is the Lilian A the most likely one? I know that the middle name matches up but that doesnt meant to stay the other one is correct but they just havnt listed the middle name!!

You are so right, Julia, they didn't always use their middle names (or sometimes used middle names and not their first name--just to confuse us a bit lol !!)

Having said that -the date on the death index does match the birth and marriages, if its the right death index for your Lilian !!

Also I can only see the one Grayson / Royston marriage.

Thanks, I am just off myself but will be back later, I have followed the line a bit further to see if i can contact anyone with the same members in their tree and I have just sent a message to someone on here who I believe has Lilan and Marks Grandaughter in their tree so i will see if they gat back to me!!
