Hi I am looking for any family of my G-G-grandfather Edward Weyer,he was born in London about 1860, he married Margaret May in 1880 in Preston,he lived in Lancaster most of his life where he died in 1942.I am trying to find his mothers name,hoping someone can help.

I do have his marriage cert,his father is given as Frederick
Eddington Weyer,but I cant find him at all anywhere,I think I heard
somewhere he could have been of German origin but not sure.He was down as deceased on cert and also on Edwards
brothersand sisters,the last child I can find was born 1865 so he
must have died between 1865-1878.

OK-so my theory holds water, then. Do wish Denise would make it back to this thread.

It looks to me as though the children were registered as Mackrill (Fred. Ed(d)ington's surname) and were the illegitimate children of Fred and Ann Elizabeth Weyer. They must have taken on the Weyer surname after what,I wonder??? Fred's death? Maybe Fred and Ann split up?
