Do you have the 1839 marriage cert with Edward's occupation and their fathers?

Edit - or a child's birth cert that confirms Mary's maiden name?

There is the marrige below that may better match the family in the census being nearer to Montgomeryshire

EDWARD HURDLEY Pedigree
Male Family

Marriages:
Spouse: MARY GROVES Family
Marriage:
01 JUN 1833 Chirbury, Shropshire, England

In connecting areas there children were born in madeley. the eldest being george hurdley born 1840. I do not have certificates for confirmation of maiden name. Thankyou

The only George Hurdley's that I can see born in Madeley at the right time appears to have a father Thomas and mother Fanny or Elizabeth.

I presume the family living in Montgomery is the wrong family based on this.

Can I suggest if you haven't already that you buy the marriage cert for George which should give his father's name and occupation.

Good Luck Kay
