Ah I suspect the Maxey website is for burials taken from headstone inscriptions which may be why Elizabeth Vickers (Smitheringale) is not shown; the NBI shows she is buried there in Maxey.

I suspect that 1858 death is Richard. However the NBI only has burials there for 1813-1850.

Thanks again,

Peter

Thanks again Roy,

is there a way of finding the death for the parents of the family (Richard and Elizabeth Vickers). I notice there is a possible burial for Richard but no age is given. Also, where do you get this burial information from?

And, can we find the deaths of George and Edward Vickers?

Thanks,

Peter

Peter, the northampton marriage does not cover the area where the couple where born or lived although i would not dismiss the marriage just yet, but Edward from Maxey Jane from Helpstone, (the next village) and acording to census's lived their lives in Helpstone, it would seem odd if they married outside their own area, Maxey and Helpstone come under Peterborough district see below

And

Edward Vickers born 1822 - is this his marriage? If so, why were his first children born before this date? (SEE 1851)

Hi Everyone,

Evidently I need to purchase Edward Vickers' marriage cert to Jane to find out his father's name. Is there a 'cheaper' way to confirm this?

Roy, I am already in contact with Amanda from ancestry but she has no further info.

Richard Vickers and Elizabeth Petchel were married in 1812, AND their daughter Elizabeth married John Smitheringale in Spalding, Lincolnshire in 1832 ... I already have lots of into on this branch of my family however.

With this, I also have an example of the SAME person being recorded twice with another relation of mine but this was in 1881.

So, a little confusing lol.

Thank you again for this continued input and assistance.

The census,s above although from two different sites, different transcription's,

The census info that i provided came from Ancestry and the family were the nearest to what Peter's original request was for,

Peter, asked for a Richard Vickers Married to an Elizabeth (Petchel)? i have not got marriage details, With daughter Elizabeth born 1813 and Edward born 1822 and baptised in Maxey Northamtonshire,

I have not found Elizabeth but have found a Richard married to a Elizabeth with son's Edward and George and living in Maxey,
Edward is down on the census in1851 as Married so could have been the same Edward as Maddie found

The census info that Maddie provided is for an Edward Vickers born about the same time at Maxey but living at Helpstone which is a village just up the road from Maxey. This Edward interestingly names two children George and Eliza but has not yet been linked 100% to Richard and Elizabeth Vickers at Maxey.

I wonder what everyone thinks,
Hope this helps,

Roy

Hi Peter, no he won't be on the census twice. Likely that one of the helpers has used Ancestry and the other has used Find My Past, and they have been transcribed differently.

Oh wow thank you ... this is amazing!

So, Edward Vickers appears on the 1851 census twice? Is that correct? Do we know when he died?

Also, where did George Vickers, born 1819 spring from? Can he be spotted in later census returns?

Finally, I am really interested to see when Elizabeth Vickers died. Is she still alive in 1861?

Thank you again, as this is fabulous!
