I have information advising that George E Weggeland (1864) married a Margaret A Kernen(1876) in Sunderland in 1898.The 1901 census list both George and Margaret ,plus Margaret's son James born 1894.However I am unable to trace a marriage between Margaret and someone with surname of Kernen ,Can anyone advise

she probably wasn't married to a Mr Kernan or anyone else for that matter

The 1898 marriage certificate will have her father's name on it, for confirmation of her marital status and maiden name.
