I belive i found my Great Grandad his parents his siblings and my g g grandmother on the 1891 census. Now when i located them on the 1901 census my Great Grandad is now five instead of 26 everyone else has aged the norm ten years. g g gran seems to of passed away but Gemma Parry Roberts Sister is now Gemima Parry.

And by the way my great grandad Robert Parry shouldnt even be there anyway he is married and living else where on the 1901 census.

I will put the two census i speak of on here im sorry if there long i dont know how to make them compacked.

Jill 2011 (aka Warrior Princess of Cilla!) Report 14 Aug 2011 13:56

His wife Mary is 38 in 1891 and 42 in 1901 - at least that's what I made it when I looked at the original.

Is it possible that David married again - to another Mary - who would have been 6 years younger than his first wife and they had a son called Robert - so there are two Roberts in the family?

I know it seems a bit unlikely in many respects but I have come across two instances of a chap marrying a woman with the same forename - which is a devil to unpick!

Also, when my father was born his mother named him John. She did not know that his father already had 5 children, one of whom was also named John. So, it's possible ...

Joy Report 14 Aug 2011 14:03

Was he married to Mary? and would they have been married 12 years in 1911?
If so, he may have been in Bargoed in 1911.

Don't know much about Welsh geography so not sure how significant this is, but the 5 year old Robert J in 1901 was born Ystradyfodwg Glamorganshire, whereas the 16 year old in 1891 was born Bagillt Flintshire

Robin7

Robin7 Report 14 Aug 2011 14:08

Yes Joy the family were in the Bargoed area then at some point some one put it on here for Robert Parry but i dont know where his dad David parry is after 1901.
