I wonder if William Holloway jioned the Army between 1861 Census and 1881 Census.as on the 1881 Census it is stated him as Staff Sergt Militia.

And maybe his Parents have died before the 1861 Census as he is living with his Uncle or Aunt

There's no father named on Gertrude's birth cert, so we don't know who her father was.

He may, or may not, have been Thomas Fowler, for all we know.

I don't see him on censuses before marriage.
You need the marriage cert to see who his father was.
