My late father was Victor Frederick Hunt born in Birmingham in 1926, I know his mother was married twice and so was his father so he was from the second marriages and there were 5 children altogether. I believe his mother was originally called Harriet Harding and I know she was in service, am not sure if this is the same Harriet. My father's eldest sister Daisy (who is about 93) talked about family in Meriden, even though my father was from Yardley in Birmingham. |

That is certainly useful to know and as you say helps tie the births etc together. Im still stuck with Thomas' Parents however. |

If it is any help - I think Monk Hall is near Morville, and Monkhampton which is not too far from Bridgnorth in Shropshire ( forgive me if you are local to Shropshire). This could tie in with some of the Births being listed at Bridg(e)north. SO 618 946 is a reference where would would like Monk Hall Grange and Monk Hall |

Thanks for the info patchem. As I say it's quite confusing with the difference in the 1881 and 1871 census. Anybody having any luck with the earlier census entries? |

Like you I am not seeing another that would fit for Harriet but 5 years and completly different areas of birth is odd for Thomas |
