Well,I don't see a death for Stephen in Chippenham in 1899.

Only one is:

I looked and looked for that, and it wouldn't come up.


Amelia apparently died in Jan 1890 in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, according to the record that Catharine found

well, I am not sure what is going on

But EVERY Public Family Tree on ancestry that has Stephen b. ca 1826, has him dying in Chippenham, and most of them have him dying in 1899.


I know that all but one could all be getting their information from the one source


but that one, the one I posted above, seems to be fairly well researched.


I cannot find a marriage for a Stephen or Steven Mould or Mold to a Lydia during any period

In the 1911 census Stephen Mould had been married to Lydia (maiden name unknown) for 21 years. He was born in Tisbury; Amelia and Lydia were born in Monkton Farleigh, Stephen in 1826. This has been established by the Mould family members researching several records. However, you are correct in that if a Stephen Mould died in 1899 he could not be the one married to Lydia. There was another Stephen Mould b0rn in Tisbury at around the same time. I thought Stephen married Amelia, then Lydia and wondered what happened to Lydia. Have we got our family trees all wrong then? in 1911 stephen was 84 and lydia was 82 their birth place were as above but livuvg in bath is there a connection to the two stephens we are puzzled kind regards any help greatfully recieved
