Wonder if anyone can help I am looking for a marriage the husband is Malcolm McFiggins born 1837 in Cobourg Ontario Canada.
His parents were John McFiggins b1809 in Scotland
Ellen Fairburn b c1810 in Scotland

John emigrated to Scotland at some time but I cannot establish exactly when, but he and Ellen married in Canada and had a family.

I know Malcolm had 2 sons Frederick F b 1872 died 1944
George B b1879 died 1894 aged about 12 - both born in New York USA.

I know that Fred then went into the care of his uncle and aunt John and Charlotte McFiggins and lived with them and their son Donald for quite some years.

So what I am trying to find his Malcolms wife and the mother of Frederick and George
Many thanks

K

He's also showing on New York State 1892 census.

Frederick appears to be born c1870 and George c1878. No wife is listed.

Do they have birth records that state mothers name that are accessible?

There's a lengthy article in the Rochester NY Democratic Chronicle, 1894 about the death of George. It's very difficult to read.

Just type in Malcolm McFiggin it's the only one that comes up.
