Lynne

Thankyou.
In 1938 my grandfather Walter John and his second wife Elsie had a trip to England. They lived in Rocklea Brisbane and their house was flooded in the 1931 and 1974 floods. The house is no longer there but would have been flooded again in the floods earlier this year.

Cheers
John Barnacle

Thankyou. William Barnacle 1761-1834 is my 3G Grandfather.
Can you confirm that the spelling was actually Barnacle and not Barnicle. What site can you get this info from??
My GG Grandfather Joseph Barnacle who died 2.2.1879 and G Grandfather Edward Barnacle who died 7.8.1912 are also buried at the Holy Trinity Church I believe.
Regards
John Barnacle

Thankyou. Still searching for ancestors prior to William Barnacle born 1761. Any suggestions?

Sylvia
Yes that was my G Grandfather Edward Barnacle returning to England in 1907. It appears that Lynne found them under Barnaile in the 1911 census. He owned the Cock Inn at 33 Jiggins Lane Bartley Green Birmingham. I have been able to get a picture of it from Google Earth.

Regards
John Barnacle
