I have found Bridget on the 1901 Census in Preston, Lancashire, she died in Pawtucket Rhode Island USA in 1903, can anyone tell me when she went to the USA please,

When was she born? There are 2 in Preston in 1901, one born 1849 Ireland, the other 1872 Ireland.
Sorry, just read the title, 1872 it is!

How do you know she's the same one that died in Rhode Island in 1903? I can't find any immigration record for her and there were many Bridget Roaches living in USA.

She is listed on her Father James' headstone, saying she died in USA,, it was listed under ROCHE, ( sorry forgot about that bit ) Father James Roche, Mother Mary Gill,= died 14th August 1903 Rhode Island.

Sorry, just re-read the last reply from me and it sounds a bit thick, ....
Our family spelling is Roach, but where i got the info from, Rhode Island death listings , it was spelled as Roche.
The Family plot is in Preston Cemetary and the headstone has James his wife , sister and 6 family names, Bridget is included, but i don't know if she is actually buried there or just named.

The only Ellens i have are a stillborn in 1860 and Ellen b1869 d1871 ?
The only other Ellen was Ellen Connell who married James in Ireland and had Thomas in 1847, but she was supposed to have died !!

Back to the Drawing board/Roots , when will i EVER wash up... lol
