MargaretM Report 20 Mar 2011 19:20

Well, looks like we solved that one. We do have a little discrepancy though. On the 1891 census brother Thomas is only 2 years older than Alfred but on the 1911 census in Canada Thomas is 6 years older.
How much do you want to bet that he lied about his age so that he wouldn't appear to be younger than his wife?

Hi do you think Alfred and Alice might have been married in Canada?

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 20 Mar 2011 18:49

You couldn't find their marriage because they were evidently married in Canada. She emigrated as Alice Turton in 1910. Reason for emigrating was "going to be married"

Janette,
You say that he married Alice but you haven't answered my question. To find a possible marriage we need at least a date.
Do you know if they had any children and if yes, what were their names and when and where were they born?
This info may help find that marriage!
