Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 7 Send Message	hi, i'm trying to find the parents of James Campbell Leaver. James was born about 1806 but I ca'nt find him on any census. He married Martha wicks on 25th Dec 1823, Tower Hamlets and possibly lived Bethnal Green area.He had a son, also called James Campbell but apart from the marriage I cant finf any other information on him or who his parents were. Can anyone please help.

	If he isn't on any census....what is the basis for your estimated birth year for him? Do you really think he married at the age of 17?

	Buy the 1854 death cert....to find out how old he was. The inclusion of Campbell in his name suggests a Scottish connection

	I'm not sure how you know his birth is 1806 ? There are 2 trees on ancestry {with no parents] who give 1800 as approx. DOB ? 	The poster's PM to me said she calculated the birth from the marriage...........hence my earlier question about whether she really thought he married at the age of 17 My advice about buying the man's death cert has been studiously ignored

Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 7 Send Message	I think i've found him on the 1851 census but it gives his DOb as 1801 and his place of birth as knightsbridge, but the childrens names match and his job as an engineer.

	well for all my looking it's not on ancestry, are there any numbers at the bottom of the image? It must be from FMP ! ! can see the name on GR too !
