Could this be the death of John Brady junior born c1888? would explain why we can`t find him in 1901, with Thomas Longhurst and Emma or anywhere else.... |

It looks like you're right. I suppose the marriage of Thomas and Sarah Ann Sparks would confirm the father of Thomas which would help me identify which Thomas is mine. |

From what i have found i have only managed to find one death registration from Thomas Longhurst (died in 1901, born 1854). But shouldn't i be able to find 2? I've looked at all the ages can't find anymore deaths registered for anyone born circa 1854. I know Emma says she's widowed on the 1911 census but strangley shes got 2 children Violet in 1905 and James circa 1908 with her. Very odd!!! |

Well, there's a tree with some of these names on Ancestry. BUT it has the family going backwards and forwards to Idaho and Kent for most of the 19th century which I think is probably not that likely. |

Do you have Thomas' death certificate? Or is Emma describing herself as a widow? |

I know, it's all a bit strange. Also not been able to find Thomas Longhurst before 1901 makes it harder. I know he was a coachman/wagoner and Domestic gardener (from birth a baptism records) and that he was born in Hadlow but there seems to be only 1 Thomas Longhurst who was born there (who is married to Sarah Ann on the 1901 census). Whats strange is the other Thomas Longhurst was a coachman and domestic gardener as well! |

Yes, Emma was born in Hadlow in 1868 on the 1911 census. Thomas had already died in 1901 but two other children of hers are present on the census who where born after his death. |

The above is wrong...just found Thomas and Sarah in 1901 when your Thomas was alive and kicking and living with/married to Emma.. |

I found that marriage but according to the census's Emma was born in 1865 so she wouldn't have been old enough |

Hello Derek, you should add this request to your original thread, rather than start a new one - that way information which is pertinent for cross referencing is all in one place. |
