I would be extreemely greatful if a nyone has access to 1911 census for a lookup. My husbands grandparents were Dorothy(Dolly ) Dunn born 1905 Brownhills Staffordshire area. All i know is her sisters were Bertha and Alice And father possibly ran a coach firm-High Street Brownhills.

Possible for Jack/John? Were the sisters you mention definitely born pre 1911?

No Dorothy Dunn b 1905 Staffordshire or any other county. Checked under Dolly and Dunne but nothing.

What else do you have?

Marian born after 1911, Cannock covers Norton Cane, so you get her mother's maiden name thrown in.

My husband s aunt gave me birth years so would guess they about right?

Kucinta

Kucinta Report 22 Feb 2011 21:29

The family I found in 1911 had a daughter Annie born 1901. The family with mother maiden name Evans, children including Nellie & marian have a daughter Annie born 1914, so maybe these two families aren't the same.

Sorry, I messed up the twin bit, they had different mother's maiden names so from different families - I got excited because they were on consecutive pages and missed the blindingly obvious.

I'd gone back and edited the entry, hoping you wouldn't notice, but was too late!
