Can anyone find Clement Press b1848 born London in the 1851 I have a sub to Ancestry but cannot find him, he was the son of Clement and Sophia

Can we back-track a bit? I assume you have got back to "your" Clement somehow. Do you have a marriage cert for him, hence knowing his father's name?
It would be helpful to put him on any census you have him on. I think you might be looking at the wrong Clement?

I dont have the marriage cert, on ancestry, his marriage to Georgina Thorburn in 1872 shows his father as Clement ( I think that is where I got his fathers name from

I notice that the 1849 Clement was baptised in a workhouse, not sure what this might signify. Can't see any evidence of Clement and Sophia together or a marriage for them.

The marriage certificate clearly names Clement's father as Thomas Press, a tailor.

Yes that is him in 1881

I think I certainly do, that means the baptism that someone found for me with parents of Clement and Sophia is incorrect ( the year was wrong )
and it means the 61 above is correct
