Hi Liz,

I have received William Whiting's marriage certificate today, his father's name was Thomas Whiting he was deceased on the certificate.

I will look into it on the census

Do you know the father's occupation, or didn't they bother as he was deceased?

Thanks for replying. I have had a look at 1881, 71 & 61 but there are a few Thomas Whitings. His occupation was a Labourer. There was a Thomas with a William son in the 1881 census but not sure if correct
.
