Hello, trying to trace early relatives to Emily Thomasson. D.O.B June1864.
I believe she was my granmother from my Dads side of the family. My Dad was Daniel Harvey D.O.B 1912, died November 1963. any info much appreciated as far back as possible.

I thought it curious that she was born 1864 and had a child in 1912 at age 48 but I see on the 1911 census she was born 1872. More likely.

Strange this one, on my copy of 1911 census it shows her as married
F 37 1874 Chesterton Staff, with 4 children, last one being Sydney age 5

Somebody's deleting their posts here. I'm sure I saw the 1881 posted that had an Emily born 1864 and the 1911 census giving her age as 37. They're both gone!

I'm Stumped,the dob seems correct at 37, but that does make her 48 when she had my dad. also there was another girl "Ada" but have no details when.

Yes, Lancashire Ann, That's the one that someone posted earlier but it can't be her, she was born too early.
We have the marriage record in 1895 giving her age as 22 making her born 1873.
She must be the one mistranscribed as Thomson.

Don't know where i am now, Dont know whether its Thomasson or Thompson.
Would it be possible for you to check this.

I put both 1881 census up to show that there were 2 Emily Thomas(s)ons, not to say that the 1864 one was Barry's

surely she is Thomasson as per her birth record above - cenus records were ofter mispelt as the emumerator often had to fill them in and he wrote what he thought he heard

same record on staffordshirebmd but this time spelt with 1 s

now, unless she removed 9 years from her age


this shows that she was 22 in 1895, making her birth year 1873



so the Emily you mention in your opening post is NOT the correct one.
