Find Ancestors

Could the date be simply when the bible was bought. I have in the past written my name and date on a hymn book. Is it possible to look at when the bible was printed, that may give you an idea.-jl

Yes the age on the death record is 82 so is the mum

Tree on Ancestry has Ruth Wood christened by William wood 1800 and Mary Message,she married lilly Osman 1842 and died 1907.

So it looks like Sophias mum died 1907.

Wonder whether as Mum died in 1907 Sophia was given the bible then.or thats when Sophia went into the workhouse.

I reckon maybe the 31st Dec 1907 refers to Ruth Osmans death not Sophia's

and it is wrong on the Bible,
