Astra, that birthplace is interesting.

The Frederick I found in 1911 was from Worcestershire, which is where Claines is. The Frederick Jan found is from Colwall, Herefordshire (which is fairly close to the border, I think).

Rachel

Rachel Report 30 Jan 2011 20:47

Thank you all for your help/info. Sorry didnt reply straight away, had a break for tea!!!

On Frederick & Florences marriage certificate, dated 19th May 1917.
Frederick was 34 yrs old and he was a clerk/time keeper at a metal works, and they both lived at 36 North Rd, selly oak.

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 30 Jan 2011 19:00

Rachel mentioned that Florence used the wrong age on her second marriage, she might have lopped a few years off to hide that she's older than Frederick.

It'll be interesting to see if Rachel has Frederick's occupation from marriage certificate.

Can find Florence's mother on 1911 in Kings norton. She is living with Harry (32) and his niece Elsie (14). No sign of Florence so far.

Rachel

Thank you brummiejan

Yes, we had noticed on her second marriage cert she did use her maiden name, Wingfield, and the wrong age. Also have noticed she used 'spinster' as status. Would it be possible to find if the marriage was anulled or if she divorced? if not is was bigamy!!!

brummiejan

brummiejan Report 30 Jan 2011 18:30
