I have Noble Hall born c1835 in Ireland (possibly Dublin) his parents are Mark and Elizabeth Hall (ms Noble).
I have Noble on the 1851-1901 Census's, can anyone please find him on the 1841 Census? (He is in Scotland on the 1851 onwards)

I suspect they might still have been in Ireland - certainly were around 1838 as that's when his brother was born.

Thank you Jan,

I have just noticed that the father isn't on the 1851, I take it he must've died between 1838 and 1851.
I have Noble on all of the other census's but not Elizabeth or John, is it possible that you can find them on the others for me please?

Bonny Lass..Wouldn't you just know it !! My line was down all day yesterday so missed this one...."Noble Hall"...begod and arent we moving up in the world..I reckon she was plain old Lizzie Noble married to Mark Hall and they missed the Christian name off

Eringobragh1916 Report 31 Jan 2011 11:15

Bonny Lass....2 "Noble Hall's"...found would you believe...1 Co Donegal (early 1800's) and the other in the Co Caven 1868...to Charles Hall and Mary Anne Noble....there must be a connection here somewhere...

Hello there Erin, nice to see you're still hot on my trail. Lol. Why do you always have to complicate matters, as if I haven't got enough on my plate already. Lol.

Sandra Report 31 Jan 2011 15:34

I can't find nothing on Mark Hall at all.

Eringobragh1916 Report 31 Jan 2011 19:13

Bonny Lass ...You and me both...Did you get his name from Noble's MC to Mgt...wonder if it was a mis-transcription..?
I have just realised that the Noble Hall (IGI) down as b. Donegal is incorrect...(it is a submitted not extracted listing) states b Inishmacsaint Donegal...well Inish.is the Co Fermanagh not Donegal....
Will see if I can follow the "Inishmacsaint" lead if there is one...

Bonny Lass...You have the heart across me so you do...!!! Have been all over the Co's Caven and Fermanagh and located the following....(early 1800's)
Both Noble and Hall are found in both Counties...plenty of Mark Nobles..!!
Have found a Mark Hall on the 1788 Reg .of Electors for the Townland of Dressage Civil Parish Agavea Co Ferm.
Griffiths Val.for 1862 shows a Rep. Mark Hall in the Parish of Agvea...Dont know where this is leading but it must be somewhere...!!!
Why dont you have easy folk to find...????

Just found a Mark Hall buried 1847 Arghalurcher Graveyard Co Fermanagh

Erin, you have totally lost me.
I did get the parents names from Nobles marriage certificate and I'm going through my whole tree trying to find easy folk to look for but there doesn't seem to be any. (Just my luck) Lol.

Eringobragh1916 Report 1 Feb 2011 10:24

Bonny Lass...How can you be lost...!!

1.Noble Hall was born to Mark Hall and Elizabeth (Noble)
2. Have found a Mark Hall in the Co Fermanagh...1788
3.Have found a Dead Mark Hall 1847 Co Fermanagh
4.Have found a Charles Hall and Mary Anne Nobel with a child named Noble Hall Co Fermanagh
5.Both the Hall and Noble surnames tend to be Co Fermanagh/Caven.
6.Now where are you lost....????

Sandra

Sandra Report 1 Feb 2011 10:29

Hahaha.

I can't believe Halls marrying Nobles and having a child called Noble actually happened more than once. I thought I'd knocked it off with the unusual name of Noble but no such luck.

Sandra

Sandra Report 1 Feb 2011 10:31

Erin, can you please tell me when did Charles and Mary Anne marry and when was the other Noble born?

brummiejan

brummiejan Report 1 Feb 2011 10:38

I see Noble is still alive 1901. Fingers crossed he survived till 1911 - when available, the census might tell you his birthplace more accurately.
