Could it be that freebmd has the wrong information on their ref 9a 546. Normally Halifax and Huddersfield would be two different areas and there isn't any spouse for Ann Bennett Huddersfield.-jle |

When I applied for John & Eda's certificate it named a Joseph as John's father, I searched the name Joseph Noble and found one married to an Ann, so I then applied to Halifax Reg. Office for a marriage certificate for Joseph & Ann Noble but they could not find one. |

In 1891 there are 2 John Nobles, both born 1865 Churwell. One is married to Eda with daughter Clara, as in 1901. The other is unmarried with Father Joseph. |
