Do you have a birth certificate for one of their children, to give Elizabeth's surname before she was married, please? |

I can only think that his surname must have been mistranscribed. I shall keep looking for a little while and then shall have to leave the computer and shall return tomorrow. |

I appreciate both of your help. It is so frustrating when you have all the info but still can't find it. As you say tomorrow is another day. |

There is a public tree on ancestry that gives his birth as 11 Apr 1852 - is that correct? and states his wife as Elizabeth Ann Allen - but doesn't give a marriage, bother! |

Their address was Blackstone Rd in 1891 - I don't have his bc for some reason, I thought I did, I'll check this out for you. His parents were Robert Chapman & Hannah Whiting. |
