I have had a look at the Freebmd website Patchem, but did'nt understand it, Is it not a site that you can search for names. How I understood it was, it was a site looking for people to transcribe documents to online.. Am I being a bit thick??? Regards, Mark |

The marriage dates were from free bmd, which is free to search and covers births, marriages and deaths in England and Wales from the start of registration to about the 1940s (it is a work in progress). |

Nickydownsouth, Are you saying I'm 'Common'.......Only joking!! You are right, I have Charles Worship Miller's Birth Certificate, and have just had a long conversation with my Auntie Phyllis, Charles's Daughter. Although she has just had her 90th birthday, she has filled in a few gaps for me. I found out tha Hannah Miller, who turned up in the 1901 census, was actually found on the doorstep by Charles's mother Mary, left by a young girl who ran away to london, I can see this is going to be interesting !!! Thank You!!! |

Just want to add that although there is a good chance that the information we have all given you is the correct family, its always best to back up your information with certificates. |

From the information Evie posted stating George Miller born c1841 died in 1921 then this is probably the death reg. for him. The certificate would confirm his cause of death. |

OMG.... This is the first time I have used this site, and this way of getting help, To say I am shocked that so many people have donated their time for me is an understatement.....I have ordered George Miller's Birth cert. but until it comes through I still cannot seem to find his fathers name. I have the birth cert. of Charles worsip Miller, born, oct 1885, Sudbourne, my Great Grandfather, and his father is stated as George miller and mother Mary ann miller, nee Fisher. ??? I think that Nickydownsouth's addition stating when mary was a widow is correct as 'rumour' passed down through the family say's that George was killed by a Bull on the farm. how can i find this out? but where is charles, could george jnr have maried a mary ann too? Thank you for your help!! Mark... |

If Julia has posted the correct family in 1881, and I have posted the correct marriage in 1874, then 'Henery' from 1881 census is born in 1869 which is before the marriage. |
