Trying to find details of my greatgrandfather George Henry Frith, sculptor, father of Georgine Belle Frith, b 21 April 1894 at Cheltenham. Mother May Buxton.

Have found Georgina's birth on Freebmd....the only marriage I can find

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a connection to this family.

I think Henry Chapman Frith and William SIlver Frith are brothers. Henry's son Arthur Percy is a sculptor in 1901 and 1911 and one of his children has the middle name Silver.

Plus this family are in Gloucestershire.

No idea about May - but I would imagine perhaps she and George Henry/Henry George Frith may not have officially married.

Interesting that Georgina was using the first name Greta in 1911 though.

I wonder what Georgina's marriage certificate has for her father's details and whether her mother was a witness as she was very young and would have probably needed permission to marry.
