Sorry about the delay but I have only just managed to get back to my computer.
As you say the Ernest on the 1891 census is a bit tenuous but I will track back to the 1881 census to see if there is another Ernest Carter.

Thanks Choccy for your information do all seem to link up. I will make some further checks along thse lines.

I continue to be impressed and grateful for the help and information provided by using this Trying to Find link and it has boosted my confidence that I will be able to continue my search for the missing links.
