Hiya, Thank you, yeah that's his family, but im unsure where his father was as he is never with them on the census and i cannot find him either.
I located the wedding cert for stephen
it says : 30th april 1943 the parish church of prittlewell essex, Stephen charles james christopher snell 23 bachelor 2nd lt R.E living @ looks like 92nd C W Comlany R.E Billericay states fathers name as Charles James Snell singer.
Rita Sean Clarke 22 spinster living at 'lewlyn" walsingham road southend on sea, her father was a harry sean clarke a clerk
the witnesses were a Alice Snell (possibly his mother) and a Leslie H Clarke (poss her mum)
there so much on there that rings true its just the fathers name and occupation are so wrong??

They had 4 Children. 1. Frederick James Steven Cecil Snell. (b. 1894 Winchmore hill London- December 1952 Sir-Oswald Stoll Mansions, Fulham Road, Fulham). He Signed up to the Royal Munster Fusiliers on the 27th August 1914 in Fulham High Street. He was in the 3rd battalion. He was 19 yrs and 318 days old. His Regiment number was 5873. He was discharged on the 20-4-1916 from the Balkans. He Received all three war medals, the victory, British and star. He was a Clerk at the time of signing up. He Married Violet Emily Coelembier (1900-1985). 2. Charles William Snell (b. March 1896 Fulham). 3. Henry Snell (b. June 1901 Fulham). 4. Reginald Snell (b. December 1907 Fulham).
prior to marrying Violet he was married to Alice Lowe in 1918 and they divorced in 1927. i have the divorce papers that say where she was living at the time if that wuld help any?

I've tried looking loads fopr frederick henry aswell and he doesnt seem to exist, which is very odd. but maybe he was at work on the time of the census? maybe abroad i dont think they had any connections but maybe?
