Hi Joanne, just been having a look at this again and there are lots of Grundys around Hulton , all seemingly involved in coal mining.

Just wondering if Joanne knows how to come back to her threads ? She has said she is quite new to this and I didn't know how when I first started. I will PM her.

Hi you wonderful people, the threads you all provided about Ann and Clara Hague were so spot on. also Kenneth Grundy my mums brother died very suddenly he was on leave from the army when he was battered and didn't fully recover he caught pneumonia my mum said it was called 'The crisis' and died when he got back to his barracks in Tilbury. Kenny should have had a military funeral but nana and grandad just wanted their lad home. seeing the information you all supplied really hit home this is our family, just waiting on Clara and Davids marriage certificate will keep you all posted. thank you so much. Pauline and Joanne
