Georges farther was John Durrell and his mother was Charlotte Jackson.
George married Mary Mills c1852.H e could Have left Mary and then remarried in Jersey.
I know i still have a little way to go but if i can be sure that this George is mine,it will be a huge relief.

Why do you think he married in Jersey ?

Mary Mills may have been born there but married in Hampshire, returning to the channel islands where the children were born.

You need to trace the birth certs of the children to confirm parents names.

I'll have a look for you next week - the Jersey Archive isn't open again until Tues.

It looks like george could have remarried a lady with the same name as his first wife,unless mary has in fact gone to Jersey and then had a couple more children with george.I really do believe this is him.

If i could find this George`s death on the island,perhaps this could be a big help to me,because he certaily isnt here in the uk,if you look above at the help given you will see some details already about the George in Jersey.

Someone has made an alteration to the 1891 so it would appear that the name is definitely Dunell and Find my Past have transcribed it wrongly in 1871. On Ancestry in 1871 it is Dunell and reads as such on the original

George Dunell was born in Somerset. In 1861 he is in Jersey living with his brother Elias (a butcher) and his wife.
