Find Ancestors

Hi, Can any one help me please?

I'm having trouble finding my Great Great uncles Wife's birth. I have my great Uncle Robert William England as Marrying a Annie Mary Maw in 1901 in Goole and they are on the 1901 and 1911 census together with children who I have all records for.

I think I have her death in Goole in 1960 the Sept Quarter but can not find any record of her birth. In the census it does say she was born in Rawcliffe which is about 10 minutes from Goole.

If any one can help i will be extremly grateful.

she was 17 in 1901.

No I haven't tried the different varients as on 1891 census when she is living with her parents it is Maw also.

Just little confused to why I can't find her.

There are 2 Annie Maws born Rawcliffe in 1891. One is with her grandparents and the other with parents William and Mary. It can't be the latter because she is still with them in 1901.

ANNIE maw who is living with her grandparents they had a daughter called Ada Lavinia Maw born C1863
She married Arthur Goodyear in 1889
Could Ada be Annie.s mother ?

Seeing as a daughter is Annie Lavinia, I think so!

Hi everyone sorry for the late reply, but thank you very much for your research. Annie maw did have a daught called Ada Lavinia so it definatly looks like Annie was with her grandparents in 1891 I thought she was the other annie living with her parents but I was mistaken. So thank you very much for solving that one for me.

Patricia, I'm not too sure if that is her as rawcliffe is classed as Goole not Thorne so i would presume it would be registered in Goole. But there doesn't seem to be any others so it probly likely it is her.

My grandmother had two completely different middle names when she married because that was what she was told. It was only when she got her birth cert that she found out what her name was.

Oh thank you Jax, i guess that what must have happened with Annie, As everything seems to corrosponde which each other.

Also Hannah Mary Maw that could be a sibling as cowick is very closed to rawcliffe and goole. So thank you very much.

Her death puts her born c1882/1883.


Possible she was born Ada Annie after her mother as Jax listed:
