Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 355 Send Message	yes .. there were 2 born in kendal in 1891, 1 was robert and the other was robert foster stobbart whose dad was born in halliwell .. halliwell is not carlise cumbria, haltwistle is northumberland tracy

Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 9,301 Send Message	Tracy, OK so dismiss 1891. Do you dismiss the earlier ones? Actually I think you'll find that Robert & Robert Foster are the same birth. It would be a HUGE coincidence for them to be registered on the same page.

Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 355 Send Message	i never dismiss anything, cause when you get further down your tree you can come back and look and think yeah they were right ha ha ..it took 7 years to be able to do the stobbart side of my tree, so i'm sorry cause i basically dont really have a lot to go on at the moment .. i feel like a new starter again! .. thank you soo much for your help tracy

Member Since: January 2004 Posts: 5 Send Message	From FreeBMD Births Mar 1860 STOBBART Robert Haltwhistle 10b 227 From IGI ROBERT STOBBART Male Christening: 11 NOV 1860 Houghton, Cumberland, England Parents: Father: JAMES STOBBART Mother: SARAH It looks as if Robert was born in Haltwhistle and baptised at Houghton - near Carlisle The 1861 Census shows another Stobbart family following a similar migration pattern as James, Sarah and family:- Joseph 49 born Castle Sowerby Jane 41 born Castle Sowerby William 14 born Castle Sowerby Margaret 13 born Stapleton Jacob 11 born Castle Sowerby Frances 9 born Patterdale Jane 7 born Patterdale Ann 4 born Haltwhistle Richard 6mths born Haltwhistle David 6mths born Halwhistle Hope this helps to clear things up!
