Liz you do not have to answer each person, are you saying this is not her death that has been found for you?
If so why do you think this?

Liz - if you have information to suggest that the death I found is not the lady that you are looking for, then why did you not give that info from the start?

Apologies for 'excess' answers! Still working out how to use this set up.
Dorcas Ainsworth: Have d.o.b, know all her siblings, have marriage and first 2 childrens d.o.b and date of death. Have no trace after July 1866, in colchester barracks, The India option you mentioned is what i will now follow up. She is my gr.grandads sister.
Thanks again to all. Liz

If you have her date of death where did you get it from? If she did die in 1869 she would not be on any census between 1866 and when she died

Have not got her d.o.d. It was her first child death I have a record for in 1865. She had another child in July 1866 whilst living in Colchester barracks with soldier husband. After that no trace. Am off to Nat. Archives in Dec so will look up husbands army life. He is back in Lancs. by 1881 census as a widower so Dorcas has died between 1866 and 18881. The reference to a death in India might be her, will follow it up. Thanks for all help. liz
