Looks like the Nathaniel who was born in 1861 Scotland is your Nathaniel, found a death for his father Nathaniel Russell in Scotland 1900 widower the informant was a Nathaniel Russell son 18 Victor street Belfast. The only problem is they stated Nathaniel sr father was not a Henry but a Nathaniel also.
His mother was a Helen Jane Davidson.

Nathaniel jr. mother died 1873 Patrick Lanark Scotland and Nathaniel sr. remarried a Mary Jane Hutcheson 1873 Patrick Lanark.
