Thanks Margaret i just found them on the 1901 census took me most the day and pulling my hair out they had been miscript Hankley but Theophilus changed his name to Joseph so i wonder if he used that name instead as i have checked deaths for Theophilus and there isnt any that fit. |

Ha! I was just going to suggest that Wilfred died in England because I couldn't find his death in the Montreal records. Also can't find any records in Montreal for Theophilus or Leah. |

I don't think that he is likely to be your man. The original is very poor which is why they have not transcribed a surname. |
