Find Ancestors

I am trying to find Robert Nathaniel Clifton on the 1881 Census.

He was born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1865 -parents Hezekiah and Georgianna Clifton. Robert married in Susan Fox in May of 1881 and I their subsequent children but cannot locate him on the 1881 census but can find him on the 1891 and 1901 records.

Help would be most appreciated.

Ref Ann of Green Gables info - looks like Hezekiah married twice. I have put the wrong marriage uear should be 1853 - sorry.

Jonesey - it is odd that Robert married so young. Robert doesn't seem to appear though with his family on the 1881 census

Well done Catherine, you spotted my deliberate mistake (lol).

I posted the 1891 first and then tried to edit the post by adding the 1901 to it and I cocked up. So I then made another post of just the 1901. I forgot to then edit the 1891 back to its original.

Robert Nathaniel Clifton still doesn't appear to be on the 1881 census though. I've found him on all the others with everyone's help and I previously had tracked his marriage and children but where was in 1881?

I noticed earlier that Hezekiah died in 1876, but I found this which looks to be him:-
