I looked at the actual image, and the entry read:-

East John Naylor of 17 Fleet Street Carlton New South Wales Australia died 29 August 1933 Probate to The Public Trustee for the State of new South Wales. Effects £292 7s 3d

This means that probate was granted to the Public Trustee, which implies that he either had no living family, or he had died intesate (no will). The Public Trustee was acting as executor of the will

The estate amounted to £2929 7s 3d.


I believe you can buy a copy of the will ........... I'm sure someone will tell you where from!

Unless you can find out his age at death, you can't assume anything about his birth.

As for the reference to Liverpool.....that would have been where the Will was proved.

But a word of warning.

Anything I have posted is pure guesswork and the I think the 1911 census rules out the 1901 census so really not a good match

I didn't know how old he was Flick, but thanks to the information from Glitter Baby and TootyFruity, he must have been about 33
