Lynn

Lynn Report 24 Aug 2010 17:30

Hi Margaret was John 35 on the 51 census? I cant find that one. Do you know where the family were living?

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 24 Aug 2010 17:57

Sorry Lynn, my mistake, I said 35 on the 61 census but meant 51 census. His name is transcribed Challener but original is Challiner. They're in Tarporley, Cheshire.

Lynn Report 25 Aug 2010 11:11

Thanks Michael that is the correct family. I will look into that marriage, it seems a long way from Tarporley but they were very young so perhaps they could marry in Chester without permision.

If the 1881 family I posted is correct then this would be Hannah's birth certificate which would give you the mother's maiden name.
