This death looks possible, there are none in Bridport that fit better:

England & Wales, Death Index: 1916-2005
about Emma Gale
Name: Emma Gale
Death Registration Month/Year: 1941
Age at death (estimated): 66
Registration district: Dorchester
Inferred County: Dorset
Volume: 5a
Page: 641

My point in trying to find a death was to see if she died relatively young and Alfred re-married. By 1941 he would have been about 60, not impossible of course.

Hi again Meg, thanks, i have spoken to my dad today and he said it was around 1943ish when she died so maybe the date you have found is correct, he also said that Alfred definately did marry again but he didn't know who to or when but he said Alfred died before his second wife.

P.s.. he also said he thought the second wife was a lot younger than Alfred.
