You still need to get the marriage cert, but this is a Frank French. I know you wouldn't guess it but looking at the image his surname has been scrawled over. |

Yes you are correct the marriage cert would give the correct first name and occupation..the name the family called Robert Frenchs father may be different and may have been registered as a different name. |

Yes I dont have the marriage certificate just family say so with his occupation but do know that the other details are correct. Robert French was a successful Shoemaker in South Australia so possibly he was in the shoe trade in England and Wales. Hannah Taylor (Parsey) was born 1848 Abergavenny her mothers maiden name was Taylor have not been able to locate a birth certificate for Hannah if she was registered Hannah Taylor or Hannah Parsey her mother Elizabeth Taylor married Thomas Parsey in 1850 Aberytruth Monmonthshire Wales....cheers Allan |

I have a Robert French bc 1838 Devon England fathers name John French a Minister bc 1815 England and would like the details of the 1841 1851 and 1861 census. Robert French married Hannah Taylor in 1863 Abergavenny Wales and migrated to South Australia. Cheers |
