To clarify for anyone else (who hasn't read the thread I linked to early on -- and of course hasn't read the multiple PMs exchanged between me and David; this query should have been a continuation in that thread in the first place, for reasons that are evident here).

David's *only* interest in this Doris M Walsh was that she appeared to have married David's great-uncle's son, Sidney William Evans.

He otherwise has no interest in Doris M Walsh, so I'm afraid all of the searching for details about her is for nought, since she is not connected with David's Evans family.

The Sidney W Evans + Doris M Walsh had seemed to be a good match for the Sidney W Evans whom David is looking for. The only way to see whether it was the right Sidney W Evans was to order the marriage certificate. A thread about Doris M Walsh was premature. The marriage certificate has now established that the SWE who married DMW is not the right one.

The one who married DMW seems to be this one:

Name: Sidney W Evans
Mother's Maiden Surname: Sharp
Date of Registration: Jan Feb Mar 1922
>>> Registration district: Bedford
Registration county: Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire, Huntingtonshire, Northhamptonshire
Volume Number: 3b
Page Number: 511

So the inquiry about DORIS M WALSH really is a dead letter now.

And David:

"had a look at tree
sidney william evans father was not harry evans it was sidney william evans born rochford essex 1920 died 1997 southend on sea his mother isabel newton
i have doris as born c 1821 essex"

For Doris: *c1921*, I assume.

Your date and place of birth for Doris is a guess with no basis, even if she had married your Sidney.
Doris did not marry your Sidney, so she is not related to your family.
There is therefore no reason at all for anyone to be spending time researching Doris.

So we agree this line of enquiry is ended now?
