Find Ancestors

Hi Would anyone possibly be able to help me find a marraige for
Rowland and Laura Meadows please, i believe it took place in the Beccles area of Suffolk, The only info i have is that Laura died 1983/4 and Rowland died around the end of the 2nd world war, having lost an arm during the war itself.
And they had 5 children, Irene, Elizabeth, James, Celia and Derek, (he married Ann Moll May 17th 1958 in Beccles.

I don't think Diana is one of theirs, different place. Betty would be Elizabeth and Cissy would be Celia. (Probably short for Cecilia)

He is listed as 5 ft 7 1/2 in and 154 lbs with green eyes and fair hair, Occupation listed as Blacksmith

It lists that his arm was amputated on 20th April 1915

K Thanks for that you are really tuned into the right track with your info, any idea on the marraige though as i keep drawing blanks on my searches. x

His military records describe the loss of his arm. He received a bullet wound to the right shoulder 17 Feb. 1915, was treated at C.C. Station 20 Feb., was transferred to No. 1 British Red Cross Hospital that day where the arm was amputated 20 April, 1914. He was then transferred to England on the 22nd. by the Hospital Ship "Salta".

But we gave you the marriage at the beginning of the thread.

I tihnk the Norwich marriage could well be the correct one as Laura could well have been born in Norwich as below

Of course it's the right marriage, the Meadows children with mother's maiden name Turner match the children that Izzy listed.

Sorry folks, got carried away thinking the Norwich connection with the wedding was not correct, i stand corrected and thank you for your help.

Can anyone find the missing son James, he married a Dorothy and they had a son John who went on to marry Lyn.

Couldn't find a birth of son James Meadows. Even looked for James Turner in case he was born before marriage but no luck.
