His military records describe the loss of his arm. He received a bullet wound to the right shoulder 17 Feb. 1915, was treated at C.C. Station 20 Feb., was transferred to No. 1 British Red Cross Hospital that day where the arm was amputated 20 April, 1914. He was then transferred to England on the 22nd. by the Hospital Ship "Salta". |
