I am looking at Moss family

George Fred Moss, his Wife Maria Moss. Children are Olive Moss born 1901 and Ernest, cant find birth for him. In 1901 Olive is 4 months old. I have a photo of Ernest and Olive in 1918 in Decemeber, Olive is abt 16 and Ernest looks abt 7-8 years old.
On the 1911 census, Olive is 5, there was 2 children, 1 is living, must be Olive, 1 has died, is it Ernest, i cant find a birth and im not having any luck looking for a death.
Can anyone help please?

Where were they born and what was the mother's maiden name?

Joanne, just to clarify, you have a photo taken 1918 with both Olive and Ernest on? therefore he can't be the child already deceased by 1911....

Ernest can't have died by the 1911 if you have a photo of him in 1918 the has to be another explanation

These are the only 3 Olive Moss births that come up in Essex between 1901 and 1906..........Olive Adelaide who I puit up with her family in 1911 is definetly 5 years old...is that your Olive? or was she born 1901 in which case she may be the other one Olive Grace Moss?

I think your getting your families mixed up....this Olive is 4 months old in 1901, but is the family from Leicester with wife Lillian May not Maria..

As I said above the 4 month old Olive Moss is the daughter of Lillian May Moss from Leicestershire...I think you are getting your families mixed up.

Darealjolo Report 31 May 2010 00:05

Nicky yes i mixed them up.

Olive Adelaide must be my one born 1906? Also George E Moss with MMN Earle that Rambling Rose found may well be the Son of Maria and Brother of Olive.

Darealjolo

Darealjolo Report 31 May 2010 00:51

Does anyone else think the birth for George E Moss, MMN Earle could be their Son?

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 31 May 2010 01:13

Yes, he is likely to be a son ....and a brother to Olive.- possibly the Ernest in the later photo.
However he won't be the child mentioned in the 1911 census, as he was not yet born, so there is still that child's birth and death to find prior to the 1911 census.
