Could anyone please advise me just when William Robson Beedle died?

He was born in 1839, in Whitby, Yorkshire and married Sarah Pattinson in 1865. They continued to live in Whitby.
He was a Master Seaman.

His parents were John and Mary (nee Rodgers), of Whitby.

I would be grateful for any information given.

Yes, thats his family on the Electoral Rolls you've listed.

His son William Joseph Beedle married in Australia in 1903 and listed his father as being deceased, with no other information given other than that he was a Master Seaman.

That's the only information I have on William Robson Beedle.

That could be my Sarah Beedle.

Although the name Risebury doesn't ring any bells and she didn't have a daughter named Jane.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to work that one out.

In 1893 he would've only been about 54 years old.

I'm wondering if he may have been in a shipping accident, though I have gone through Google, looking for loss of life in shipping accidents.

Though, come to think of it, I only researched the Whitby records. His ship could've gone down anywhere.
Perhaps I need to do a wider search.

Unfortunately Deaths at Sea on FMP stop at 1890.

Thanks Pam, I've tried a lot of avenues...without luck.

And that Sarah Ann Beedle living with the Risburys doesn't appear to be 'my ' Sarah.
I think she is the wife of a cousin of my William Beedle.

Hi Margaret, I have William Robson Beedle in my husband's tree. I have him as dying in Algiers on 10th March 1899 aged 59. I got the information from The Malton Messenger archives. It was a long time ago and I apologise but I can't find my notes as to how I found the information. Try GENUKI there is a W R Beedle listed in the Whitby Gazette with all the other details the same.

This could well be 'my' William Robson Beedle...as his daughter was married in Algiers in 1893 to Francis Brockett!

Yes, Ann of Green Gables, I have lots of information. Thanks to the kind folk on GR. The only thing I lack is William Joseph Beedle's (son of William Robson Beedle) date of birth.
Neither his Marriage Certificate or his Death Certificate list it.
